Dr. Dintiman’s 5 Tips to Spring Into Beautiful Skin!

1.Stay Hydrated.

As the weather warms up and we spend more time outdoors, staying hydrated is important. General guidelines for water intake are that women should drink about 11 cups of water daily, while men should drink about 15 cups of water daily. Remember that we can also increase our water intake by increasing our intake of fruits & vegetables!

Spring Smoothie Recipe:

1/2 Avocado

1/4 Cup Blueberries

1 Cup Strawberries

1/2 Cup Lowfat Greek Yogurt

1/2 Cup Milk or Alternative Milk of Choice

Can add ice or use frozen fruit for thicker smoothie. Blend & serve immediately.

2.Wear tinted mineral sunscreen daily.

Dr. Dintiman calls tinted mineral sunscreen “The Ultimate Anti-Aging Hack”. In general, we recommend applying tinted mineral sunscreen daily to your face and neck. If you are spending time in the sun, you should apply sunscreen to the rest of your body. Look for “Titanium Dioxide” or “Zinc Oxide” listed in the ingredients on your sunscreen. Below are some tinted mineral sunscreen recommendations that we give to our patients. We also offer these options in-office.

3.Switch from a heavy winter moisturizer to a lightweight moisturizer.

In the winter we often recommend a heavier, nourishing moisturizer to support the skin during the dry, cold months of the year. As winter transitions to spring, many of our patients notice that the nourishing, winter creams become too heavy for their skin. If you notice that you have this issue, switching out your heavy winter moisturizer for a lightweight moisturizer may be a good idea. We recommend Facile’s Barely There moisturizer or Alastin’s Ultra Light moisturizer.

4.Get a Diamond Glow Facial to Have a Springtime Glow-Up

The Diamond Glow facial uses a patented tip to exfoliate the skin, safely extract debris from the pores using suction, and deliver an infusion of a serum specific to you. Exfoliation, extraction, and serum infusion occurs simultaneously due to the signature diamond tip wand. Our practice offers different serums based on your skincare needs.

We use Diamond Glow to target concerns such as dullness, dryness, acne, and uneven skin texture.

The facial includes cleansing, Diamond Glow treatment, and a relaxing post treatment lymphatic massage with serum and moisturizer. If you are interest in the Diamond Glow Facial, click the button below to learn more.

5.Get an IPL Treatment to reduce redness, size of blood vessels, and brown spots.

Intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy uses pulses of light to break up unfavorable brown and red spots, and promote new collagen production. We use this device to cover small and large areas of the body including the face, neck, chest, and hands. If you are interested in IPL, click the button below to learn more.
