Fall Skincare Treatments

Fall is the perfect time to rejuvenate your skin and repair any damage that has occurred from the summer sun! Usually, it often takes a combination of skincare treatments and topicals to get the best results.

Firstly, please be aware that we see some our worst sunburns in the Fall from outdoor football games, tennis, golf, and even walking. This is because since the air is cool, we often forget to apply sunscreen. Therefore, your skin needs special protection in the winter, when cold weather and lack of moisture can cause chapping, cracking and irritation. For instance, winter wind and sun can cause severe sunburns and exacerbate skin conditions such as eczema. Our favorites sunscreens are the – Tizo AM, CeraVe tinted, and La Roche-Posay tinted sunscreens (please see pictures below).

Luckily, there are skincare treatments that can brighten and even out your skin to give you a holiday fresh glow:

• Light chemical peels:

Professionally applied peel solutions exfoliate dead skin cells and help healthy skin cells rise to the surface. These treatments allow deeper layers of fresh and untouched skin to be revealed. The result of monthly treatments can even skin tone, clear acne, improve the appearance of aging skin, and make dull complexions glow.

Our office loves the Sensi Peel by PCA SKIN® to freshen and even out texture and pigmentation. There is limited or no social downtime since you can wear makeup within hours.

• Microneedling with PRP treatments:

Microneedling creates thousands of microchannels that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. Our office uses SkinPen®, the first FDA-cleared microneedling device on the market, As the skin heals, the result is better-looking, youthful, and smooth skin.

• IPL laser treatments:

IPL is used to address many skin concerns such as redness and hyperpigmentation face from sun damage, rosacea, etc., with virtually no downtime. It uses light energy to reverse the visible signs of aging from general environmental wear and tear. It can also help stimulate collagen production reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
