Xeomin / Botox
What is it?
Xeomin / Botox are products that can be injected into the skin to temporarily smooth out wrinkling and fine lines. Patients may choose these treatments to lift your smile, soften lines on forehead or between eyes, and improve chin dimpling.
What does it treat?
We use Xeomin to treat:
- Between the eyebrows (“Angry 11’s”)
- Around the Eyes (Crow’s Feet)
- Forehead
- Chin
- Upper Lip
- Corners of Mouth
- Neckbands
Downtime & Pain Level?
Most patients note little to no pain with Xeomin / Botox injections. Our office offers numbing gel and ice to minimize discomfort during the appointment. Bruising, “bee sting” appearance at injection sites for ~10 minutes, and headaches may occur after administration.
How Long Does a Treatment Last?
Most patients note that their treatment lasts 3-4 months.
Xeomin for Armpit Hyperhidrosis
What is it?
Xeomin is a smart toxin that reduces muscle activity. When it is injected in the armpits, it works on the tiny muscles around each sweat gland and stops excess perspiration, also known as “hyperhidrosis”. Check out our blog post, “How Xeomin Can Help Your Excessive Sweating” to learn more.
Downtime & Pain Level?
Typically, treatment for hyperhidrosis takes two appointments, about two weeks apart. With numbing, most patients rate the pain level as a 3 out of 10. You will have some soreness for the rest of the day, and you will want to avoid vigorous exercise for 1-2 days after each appointment.
How Long Does it Last?
Xeomin for hyperhidrosis prevents excess sweating for 6-12 months at a time.
